Building on the OECD Recommendation on Information Integrity, this five-year, multi-country project aims to help targeted beneficiary countries – Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Lithuania, Poland, and Romania – tackle information manipulation, including foreign interference, enhance institutional capacity, and strengthen cross-government and international coordination to reinforce information integrity. The project will support governments across three interconnected components:
- Targeted policy recommendations.
- Cross-country engagement and capacity building.
- Comparative analysis through Regional Information Integrity Reviews.
Expected outcomes of the project include stronger institutional capacity, improved coordination, and enhanced protection of democratic processes and freedom of expression.
The first key output will be the Regional Information Integrity Review expected to be launched in mid-2027 at a regional event, which will include peer learning and capacity-building activities.
