In 2025, OAD, together with other NASK-PIB units, as well as the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Center for Information Technology (COI), the Internal Security Agency (ABW), the Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), carried out activities as part of the Election Umbrella programme.
The Center maintained continuous monitoring of the Polish infosphere, covering more than 3,000 domains, profiles, and social media accounts. It identified harmful content and forwarded reports to online platforms and public institutions, including the ABW and the Police. A total of 3,836 valid reports were recorded, concerning, among other things, false content, impersonation, AI-generated materials, and violations of the electoral silence period. OAD also organized training sessions and workshops for election committees, journalists, and public administration officials. In addition, the Center’s analysts successfully neutralized more than 16,000 inauthentic accounts (bots) on Meta, X, and TikTok, including 169 accounts impersonating election candidates.
As part of its activities, the Center analysed disinformation narratives related to the credibility of candidates, the integrity of elections, campaign promises, and conspiracy theories (including the so-called “Romanian scenario”, EU interference, election fraud, and the influence of Ukrainian citizens). At the same time, it monitored the Russian, Belarusian, and Chinese infospheres, identifying narratives aimed at undermining trust in democratic processes in Poland and in international cooperation.
The Disinformation Analysis Center will continue to undertake similar activities during the 2027 elections.
