The Alliance4Europe Counter Disinformation Network (A4E CDN) is a multilateral cooperation initiative aimed at preempting, detecting, and combating information manipulation. The initiative brings together European experts in multiple fields, such as OSINT and fast-checking, while playing an advisory role to media and policymakers. The A4E CDN helps report foreign interference and influence operations to the European Commission, government agencies, media, and civil society, using various, e.g. the Digital Services Act or the Code of Conduct on Disinformation. The initiative successfully helped identify and neutralize harmful channels, strengthened the visibility of experts, as well as provided policy recommendations to boost citizens’ online security.
